Does anyone know what happened by Lake Sumter Landing with car that was flipped over on Stillwater? Any idea how it got so far in?

When did you see this? It was a car rather than a cart?

It was Saturday afternoon - before dark. I did not see it happen, but there were 2 sheriff cars and a State Patrol car there. There were many folks there who stopped to take pictures.

It looked like the car came from the south, on Canal at a high rate of speed, then veered left past the circle. The car took a good sized chunk of concrete from the curb on the NW corner of the circle as it slid past.

I hope no noe was hurt.

the car started on canal st gate and driver was reported to have seizure and crossed into incomeing gate crossed onto cart path crossed stillwater and hit curb northbound stillwater and flip airborn over stone wall and tree landing on roof reportedly the driver was able to crawl out

We had gone by that area around 4:30pm and then back about 6:45pm and saw the commotion. In looking at the path this car took it is a miracle that nobody got in the way of that car.

We were on our way to Cane Garden on the cart path Saturday night when we saw the upside-down car. Pretty amazing sight and people were taking pictures. The car was pretty torn up and I'm amazed that the passenger(s) crawled out. Just goes to show what can happen even going the slow speeds here in TV.
