Thumbs up For TV wannabees

:Another thing about Florida's Friendliest Home Town:
If you have grandchildren or nieces and nephews who are likely to visit, they will find a warm welcome in TV.
We used to visit grandparents in other Fla. retirement communities with our small children and most times they were not welcome. They were barely tolerated. They were shushed and shooed as if they were pests.
TV loves children. Everybody here is friendly and sweet to visiting kids. They even have wonderful summer camps for visiting children.

Default family pools help

Since I have little ones (grandchildren, that is), I'd like to see a nicer/bigger playground that is golf cart accessible - that's about my only complaint.

I think that one reason little kids are treated nicely here, besides the Easter and summer programs, is that since there are family pools, adults are not being splashed and annoyed all the time.

When we visit a relative in a retirement community elsewhere in Florida, there is one large pool shared by all - you will be peacefully floating on your noodle and barely miss being jumped on by a 10 year old who is excited to be doing a cannonball into the pool or something. Only natural, normal behavior for kids at a pool, but since kids visit all months of the year nowadays, seems like there is never a quiet moment.
