Default Meat that taste like it did years ago when we were young

Having been a big time customer of Whole Foods, when we moved down here we were forced to find an alternative. We felt our next best option would be Fresh Mkt. which was fine, however we were never completely satisfied. It was OK, but just not the same. Last week we discovered Pasture Prime Family Farm who has had a stand at the farmers mkt, and for some reason we had always kept on walking by them week after week. After we heard about ractopamine which is being fed to 80% of the pigs in the USA but banned in 160 countries including Russia and China (imagine that) we decided we needed to search out an organic farm.

We placed an online order and picked up our meats this past Sat. and wow, what a difference! We made hamburgers for the grill and savored every bite as the meat brought us back to our childhood. This is what hamburg should taste like, really! We cooked some bacon this morning. No heavy odor lingering in the kitchen, but a sweet, smoky smell was going from room to room. The taste was mouth watering. The thickly sliced bacon had just enough chew and the rest melted in your mouth. We baked a whole chicken and it was incredible. The meat was tender and succulent. Afterwards the bones went into the crockpot to make the best chicken soup to which there was no fat that rose to the top. That has never happened to us!

I know that you pay more for your meat and poultry at the farm. That is a given, but you have to expect to pay more for quality. We visited the farm this morning and it is open for anyone to go and visit. The animals are grass fed and they are also given other feed too, but they can roam around including the chickens.
We don't eat big meals every night, so when we do we can splurge on this fantastic farmer's products.

You might want to try with one or two items just to treat yourself. If you decide you want to try that pound of bacon or hamburg you can go to:Home - Pasture Prime Wagyu Florida Grassfed Beef - Pasture Prime Wagyu Florida Grassfed Beef and place and order and then pick it up at the farmers market at Brownwood.

I ordered my turkey for Thanksgiving already. It's not too late if you still need one!
