And the #1 worst police situation is a domestic situation. On this case, no injuries/deaths and he is in jail. Cost a few extra bucks up front and saved a lot of time money and expense if there were injuries/deaths.

I've asked about 10 people here in The Villages since the recent incident, if they knew who Grady Judd is. No one seemed to know. Do folks in The Villages not watch local TV News or doesn't the Tampa news get this far north?

Grady Judd is on the Tampa news, most every day. He's a Central Florida Folk Hero (& a little nuts). He's the Sheriff in lil' ol' Polk County. He's got TWO 40' Tractor Trailer Mobile Command Centers and probably the largest SWAT team in the USA, other than the FBI & NYC.

He's obsessed with sex. There's a sex arrest every day in Polk County and Brady is on TV, talking about it.

Polk County is home to Streamsong, the #1 golf resort in the East. There's nothing to do but golf, within 30 miles. I was looking at property there about 10 years ago, to open a Hooter's type restaurant (all those golfers away from home, with no adult supervision? It would have been a gold mine). As soon as I realized that was Judd country, I immediately folded my tent and went home.

A kidnapping suspect who barricaded himself in a home in The Villages on Friday had been arrested in 2023 after jealous harassment of a woman in the Village of Chatham.

James Savage, 54, was the subject of a manhunt on Friday after allegedly forcing a woman into a Mercedes in the Village of Monarch Grove. The woman was later found safe and Savage barricaded himself in a home on Belhaven Loop in the Village of Chatham, prompting a lengthy standoff with Marion County sheriff’s deputies.

Savage had been arrested last year after harassing a woman who lives on Belhaven Loop.

The Wesh2 news had a followup interview with the woman who owned the house the next day. The house was trashed inside, windows were broken, and garage door totally destroyed. It didn't look like a very peaceful ending.

I'm sure this kidnapping will be elevated to "aggravated" kidnapping given the fact the woman was harmed during the act. The minimum sentence for aggravated kidnapping in Florida is 20 years and can go to life. Considering this guy is 55 years old I do not think we'll be seeing him until his late 70s or 80s. Prison in Florida......One heck of a way to spend the rest of what should have been your retirement years.
