And yes, it's tougher to understand for those that have never been in a situation like that. You are truly blessed.
Good points.

I'll say. It's a wonder that didn't kill her. AWFUL.

The mere fact that this didn’t end in an instant is beyond belief. I used to have respect for you ex law enforcement peoples in here but you dropped the ball years ago for a paycheck. You allowed the so called oppressed people take over to where you became afraid of the laws you espouse to believe in and did not want to speak up. You like to enforce laws on here on us here behind your keyboard but no one trusts the law anymore except those that are too naive to see that the criminals are in charge of the prison and us law binding folks are too afraid to defend ourselves. How many innocent people have to sacrifice themselves before you will realize that law enforcement has their hands tied and are only hand maidens to the liberal attorneys??? How many Peace Officers have to sacrifice themselves??? Just asking for a friend

With all the noise of the screaming and shouting, where were the neighbors, mainly the men when all this was going on. Not a soul came to help, and none of the gun owners came. Perhaps they only deal with paper targets.

Were you there? Do you know what time it happened? Who was home nearby?

If you answered "No" to any of those questions, you should really sit this one out...

So this story is getting better and better.

There was a story in a local newspaper this morning (the specifics of which can't be mentioned on this board).

Apparently, the Kidnapee was in the house where the SWAT team deployed.

The owner of the home, was also in that house. An 81 year old, recently widowed lady.

The owner had spoken to police, but didn't admit Savage was in her house. Apparently later, when the cops arrived, she admitted Savage was there ... and some time later, the kidnapee, also walked out the door.

Turns out, Savage was previously arrested for conning an elderly women with dementia.

Guess who his accomplice was in that adventure? No, not the current kidnapee, but another woman who lives on the same street! Savage had previously harassed her and been arrested for it. She of course, suddenly became "non-cooperative" and he never went to trial.

It looks like the woman's house was smacked up pretty good by the SWAT team. I wonder if insurance will cover such a thing? From the wording on the article, it seems like the owner may have been a friend of Savage.

Belhaven Loop is quite a neighborhood.
