Default Golf cart crash pix!

as i was heading to the sqaure tonite, 3 college age kids passed me in a cart going way to fast weaving all over the path, when we get to Sweetbay parking they are all over weaving backand forth, and all of a sudden on a hard weave there cart rolls over! As the cop was taking my statement he commented this crash could prevent a automobile accident some time,, these 3 are skinned up pretty good, but they are scared!
this was grandpa's cart,

Grandpa is not going to be happy. Glad no one was hurt. These kids look old enough to be licensed drivers and should know better.

A good reminder for our fellow Villagers to counsel their guest drivers on the dangers of speeds and curves if they intend to go out in the cart on their own.

Thanks for the pic, Shooter.

Kids think that reckless driving is hilarious. I wish the Daily Sun would publish this picture on the front page.

Glad they did not run into you or anyone else! Been retired two days from 34 years of teaching 11-12 grade kids. This just got the heart rate up again!

I wonder, if there is a nexus between the respect these kids have for their grandfather and the manner in which they misused his property?

We saw this too at Sweetbay and assumed there was a collision with a car or another cart but didn't see it. We saw the young men standing around when the police arrived. They are lucky they weren't hurt worse.

Default good cops

the cops were great they were super understanding,,, they both were under 30,, could tell they were just like all of us,,, WE ALL HAVE DONE STUPID THINGS!,,

i asked the cop if they had been drinking,,, he indicated alchol was not a factor in this crash ,,,, just mistake in judgement!
this was a collision of stupid, testosterone and reality!

Village Shooter,

Good timing on your part to see it and lucky to have your camera handy to document the young and stupid. I would have liked to seen pictures of the "golf cart overturned by an alligator" posting you made recently. That would have been a hoot.

Good to have met you at Cody's the other day. I also like your idea of the pigeon club.

Glad these kids could jump out of the cart before it flipped over. I still see golf carts with much older drivers zipping by me when I am putt-putting along at around 17 mph in our golf cart.
