Last year our neighborhood group had a Hawaiian dinner at Colony Cottage and had the Aloha 'O Ka Hula Dance Troupe put on a show. It was great and at the end of the show they did get volunteers from the audience to come up and they gave a dance lesson to them. Below is the web site that might help you.

Aloha Kakahiaka (Good morning)!!

I am Bill and I'm the business manager for the Aloha 'O Ka Hula Dance Troupe. We dance the Hawaiian hula and present a show of approximately 45 minutes consisting of dances, narration of Hawaiian folk stories, and a singer who does several songs. Violet Ray is our leader and choreographer and she trained in the hula for more than 10 years under the leading hula masters in the world before moving to The Villages.

We bring our own professional sound system and lighting sytem to our shows, and they are operated by professional light and sound techs from The Villages AV Club. Our costuming is made for us in Honolulu and shipped over, and we do several costume changes during the show.

We perform approximately 50 shows per year, and the shows are usually described by our attendees as one of the best performance shows in The Villages. We are the hula group that danced at the AARP National Convention, and at the Moffitt Cancer Center Benefit show last year.

We would love to perform for your group. To book us, or if you have additional questions about us, please call Bill or Violet at (352) 753-0962.
