Hi Skip!!

Thank you for bringing your concerns to my attention. I read your post and took a look in my owners manual and you are on the money with your points.

I grabbed my tape measure and my heater has just over 16" clearance from the top of the heater to the ceiling. I do have it approx. 3 ft. away from the walls of the villa. The majority of the heat reflects downward but I will definitely check as safely as I can to see how warm or hot the ceiling of my lanai gets when it is running. Usually we run it on the lowest setting which is fine with us, but I will check when we have it at the highest setting too.

My lanai is not enclosed so I don't have issues with proper ventilation.

Thank you again Skip for voicing your concerns and I will certainly do a thorough check again.

Purchased a Fire Pit from Amazon. Works great and give a nice atmosphere.
