Default Landscaper Comedy of Errors

My husbanded waited all day for a local landscaper to deliver and plant some large shrubs we bought a week ago. Nobody showed up which was a surprise as it's a reputable nursery. I left a voice mail message at 4:30 pm, but no one replied. When my husband called this morning, the nursery manager said he had paperwork proving the shrubs had been delivered and planted yesterday. We had a yard devoid of shrubs to prove otherwise. When the manager repeated "my paperwork shows a delivery was made" My husband went into angry officer mode, and it wasn't pleasant as being "nice" didn't work. The company OWNER appeared on our doorstep 20 mins later. He located the plants' whereabouts by checking the delivery truck's GPS. They were looking good at 3438 LANCELOT- a vacant house outside of our villa neighborhood. WE live at 3438 In Harlow. The Landscapers removed our shrubs from the vacant house (where he'd planted them yesterday) and replanted them here. 😝in the pouring rain. The first measurable rain in months. Murphy's law. The shrubs are covered under a 6 month warranty. Only in The Villages.....

Sounds like the OWNER took lemons and made lemonade....kudos to him. Post the name of this good company, please. I'm needing some landscape work done.

Glad to hear they made good on the deal. This type of mistake appears to happen once in a while. A few months ago, I saw a lawn care company working on my neighbors yard. I was concerned as he does ALL of his yard work himself. I called he was out of town, and asked me what they had done. It turns out they were at the wrong house, after a few calls between all the neighbors it was cleared up. I do not recall the name of the company.

Do you know if they did anything to repair the yard damage...at the wrong house?

It seems most companies in this area try to make things right. Nice to hear a positive ending, we sure hear about the bad service!
