Going back to the original question of who puts flags on lawns, in my neighborhood the flags are placed by community members who have organized flags to be placed on national holidays. If your neighborhood does not have flags being placed on national holidays, then your neighborhood needs to get together and organize such an action. These small flags are cheap. Neighbors can easily fund and organize flag placement. And one last comment, flag placement is a show of patriotism, not politics! Please keep politics out of it! Good grief!

It's your responsibility/choice. Our neighborhood went in together and bought flags for everyone. Volunteers then put them out on holidays. We don't care about the political beliefs they get flags unless they request opting out. Nobody did!

OMG now remembering those who sacrificed and served is political.. AND you want someone to put flags on your lawn for you. WHAT NEXT !!!! If it was not for those who served and gave their lives none of us would have the "freedom" we have now .......Yet so many abuse that freedom daily with hate, and insults on war crimes etc. Some of these people are not fit to serve in government either. At least I did not vote for them.

Back to the original poster, there are several sources for the "lawn flags" both locally and via Internet. Buy a quantity of them and place them where you wish on your property. My opinion - don't go for the small ones that are almost toys. Get the ones with a 2 to 2 1/2 foot stick. They look better (again, my opinion). I would also buy more than needed since sooner or later the stick will break, the flag material will fade/tear. Nice to have replacements on hand for quick replacement. You'll have many patriotic holidays to proudly show our flag.

Check out Dollar Tree.......Plastic flag shafts.....and NO fade flags.

You have to buy your own and put them on yourself if you want flags. Nobody else does it for you. Check out the following stores for the big ones - Dollar Tree, Dollar General , Family Dollar and Walmart- they run about $1 each - many coming in packs of 3 for $3. What difference does it make where it comes from? Go back through your house and check out where the rest of your stuff comes from . This is NOT political. It’s about the men who died for you. In addition, put them out on Veterans Day for the men who fought for your rights. Then put them out on 4th of July, and very other holiday to say you are proud to be an American! Up north we had our big flag out every day just because of being proud to be an American. Time to stop thinking politics and start coming back to being one people, United Under God!

We have lived here for over two years and flags have been placed on all of our lawns throughout our area, known as Heathrow on Lake Deaton Preserve, for all of the holidays you would expect, i.e. Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Patriots Day. I always wondered who puts them up, takes them down, and cares for them in the interim. It's kind of reminiscent of the tooth fairy.:icon_wink:

It’s, do it yourself. Go to Walmart and buy a bunch of small flags and stick them in the ground in your front yard.

We live in Bonita and seems like we are all on our own to put up the flags and that is fine by us.

Political? Since when are patriots being political by flying flags on Memorial weekend. If anything your comment about people flying flags being is very political in itself.
