Default Motorcycles on Golf Cart Path

Are they really kidding me? I was passed by a motorcycle on the golf cart path by Laurel Manor today. Scared the begeezers out of me. Is this really allowed? Next we'll be seeing atv's and horses. The cops got all sorts of these signs up telling you how fast your going, I think they better start looking at the golf cart paths....People are crazy!

I thought I recalled reading somewhere, that "scooters" under a certain HP were allowed.

Not that I like it.

I had 5 golf carts pass me Tuesday night within 10-15 minutes of each other. And I was doing 19.2-19.6. And 2 of those that passed me were as I was approaching a divided section. I just slowed down and let them go.

Default Would a scooter be ok

Would a scooter be ok as it doesn't go over 20mph same as a golf cart?

Default Smart car? Motorcycle?

Years ago I asked on TOTV if there was any definition/policy/guideline of what is allowed on the multi modal paths. My recollection is I specifically asked 'are smart cars allowed on the paths?". I did not get a response and I have never found anything online.

Minimally I would think there must be some guideline as to size, i.e., width, but I have never found it.

I believe the multimodal paths are for carts, bikes, walkers, and motorcycles of less than 49cc.

The roadway speed limit of 20 mph is not enforcable on the multimodal s because they are private property.

I think most of us have seen the errant car on the paths.

I believe that also, but wouldn't you think you could find anything that says that? I have been unable to. If I have a Smart Car, or any other vehicle I can drive on the roadways when I exit path why not? Says who? Maybe I am scared of roundabouts

PS. I do not have a Smart Car, nor am I scared of roundabout, just using it as an example.

I hear ya and I have no idea if motorcycles are allowed, but my mind started drifting to the future threads about horse poop on the cart paths......

So as I read it. They could make rules but haven't gotten around to it as they don't want to mess with enforcement and the legal mess that might ensue. And although the vehicles allowed don't go over 20mph for the most part there is no speed limit. LSV's are allowed and as there is no speed limit can go as fast as they want. DID I READ IT RIGHT?

It might have been a Smart car, but it was definitely...a not-so-smart driver.
