Curious if folks pay a monthly fee year round for someone to cut their lawn, or just during the growing season? Basically no need in January, February and March

We've had the same lawn service for 12 years now. We pay 6 months at a time. Annual service. Zoysia grass does go dormant for about 3 months but St. Augustine grass needs water and cutting all year long.

This has been discussed here before and yes most pay year around even though
our lawns don't need cutting in the winter.
I look at it as those people need that year around income to maintain their equipment etc.
Also, when it's 98 degrees outside, they are making a hard living in that heat
and we offer them a cold bottle water at times.

We pay all year round. The people we use show up once a month in winter, trim the edges of tge grass…then blow all the lawn out to clean it up.

Worth it!

Of course we pay year-round - we have an annual contract.

If you don't want to pay for J/F/M just take your annual cost - divide it by 12 - and then multiply that by 9. You'll still pay the annual fee but won't have to pay it for 3 months! lololol
