We purchased in Citrus Grove and love it so far, except for the City of Leesburg that supplies our gas and electric service. First you have to signup on paper, not on the phone. Then for the first time in 40 years I had to pay a security deposit of $250 (that will be credited back after 24 months of on time payments) even though I moved from the Spanish Springs area (with real utility companies).

Beware if you setup autopay it takes “up to two billing cycles” and if you setup with a credit card when it expires you have to remove the card and re-enter it as a new card, there is no method to just change the expiration date. That’s archaic itself but it gets better, the “up to two billing cycles” starts over. This was all explained to me by accident (nothing in writing) when I called to see if the second bill was on autopay (it supposedly is even though it’s not stated on the bill).

So I sitting in a smart home that I can dang near think something and it will turn on, but my utility is still chiseling my bill on a stone tablet.

Thank goodness there’s only a small portion on the area that has Leesburg utilities so beware if your like me a get the bottom of the barrel.
