Default We Close on Our MA Home July 29th!

It's hard for us to imagine, but on July 29th we close on our home in MA. From the time we accepted an offer in early June, we have gotten through the inspection, fixed those items found in the inspection, then the bank appraisal and last Friday, the buyers bank gave them their mortgage commitment.

After we close on the 29th, we are heading to our house in TV where we'll happily wait until our condo back in MA is finished - sometime in early September.

As I previously posted, this begins a new chapter in our lives because we are down-sizing from a 5 bedroom home where we raised our family, to a new 2 bedroom condo in the same town. My wife, Floss, is retiring on July 28th and we'll be in TV to celebrate our anniversary on July 30th. We'll then be fortunate for being able to spend summer's in MA and winters in TV.

Dreams do come true!

My husband and I lived in Natick Ma for several years before moving to Cape Cod. We just sold our home on the Cape and will be moving to TV the beginning of August rental for 4 months while the new house in St. James is being built. Congratulations on selling your home.

We finally found the perfect buyers for our house in Peabody, MA. Agreed on a price June 21st, P&S signed June 24th, home inspection June 27th, bank appraisal June 28th, Bank commitment letter July 1st, closing July 29th. Things can go fast when you have the right buyers. This is after having our house on the market for a year and a half. One buyer backing out just before P&S, and a second buyer unable to get financing.
We will be starting our search for the perfect home in the Villages September 7th. Can't wait to get started.

Thanks for all of the positive comments! We booked our flight today and we are heading to the airport directly after closing. It's another step toward our next journey in life. Reality is setting in and I'm liking it!

Lou, can you pack me a small Italian with everything, including hot peppers the next time you and Carol come down? I'm sure Carol wouldn't mind keeping it in her pocketbook during the flight Stay in touch!

Congrats to all of you who are on the brink of selling your houses up north. Maybe the real estate market is starting to turn around?

Good Morning Dan,

We would be more than happy to pack a small Italian w/everything, including hot peppers on our next trip to The Villages, however it may not survive the trip, as it might get intercepted by others on the plane, even though Carolyn would be keeping it in her pocketbook they'd probably attack if hungry enough.

PS: Have a safe trip.

Lou,
if this keeps up there we'll be able to start our own Natick club here. There is already quite a few people here from Natick. You're going to have to open a Corrado's down here. You can show those people from NY how to really make a sandwich.
