Hard to say. it could be for real but could end up costing the students more. It could all have been a ploy to turn a break-even operation into a moneymaker. Obviously you imply somone, presumably from the "operation" was making a ploy to make more money. Who would this be and how were they involved in the lawsuit? |
Check the news source that must not be named for developments about the LLC today. Looks like progress with getting the LLC maybe back by Summer 2017.

I'm just fascinated with what sells here on TOTV. People sure love a train wreck. I'm enjoying the analysis of this lawsuit and in doing so it occurred to me of the overlay of the tree cutting thread so the move to see what and how much the tree cutting thread generated vis a vis LLC Personal Best Regards: |
No way this thread is going to beat Three Word Sentences even if they are only sometimes three words and often not even sentences. Go Lobster Team!!
Glad to see some progress made though with the LLC. I still want to take those French classes. Probably will not have the showgirls like when I took them in Reno at the University of Nevada but they could be quite distracting. Some of them had really good French pronunciation. |

Me getting my BA in History at the University of Nevada, Reno with my Philosophy Professor Mentor looking on. Could not have done it without his encouragement. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k2...ps73db07bc.jpg One thing, the Philosophy courses offered by the Lifelong Learning College leave a lot to be desired coming from a Philosophy/History double major. Had received my first BA in Philosophy in December of 1980; BA in History in May, 1981. I am one of those people who believe in continuing education all throughout life such as you find with the Lifelong Learning College. I am viewing frequently the Great Courses which has some rather quite good lectures on Philosophy. |
friend who belongs to POA sent me the following. the appeal is to be able to go after the lifestyle groups.
However, the undisputed facts establish that while the Districts facilitate both the formation and operation of the RLGs, the RLGs programs, activities, and events are planned, controlled, and led by private residents of The Villages, and actions taken on behalf of the RLGs are not actions of the Districts. Thus, they are not required to meet ADA requirements. However, a challenge to this Judge’s Opinion is on the docket in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals (Atlanta, Ga.) for December 12, 2016. The POA, along with District Staff and District Counsel, are confident that they are on sound ground and that the Court will uphold the original finding, but we will not know for sure until the Appeals Court makes its ruling. We have no time line as to when the Court decision will be issued. |

You never know about judges though. Some are very reasonable with a lot of common sense; some are not. It may be a while before they render an Appeals decision. |
Letters to the Newspaper on this issue
I have been reading the letters in this morning's copy of The Daily Sun regarding this law suit and I have to believe that the decision to sue TV has made life very uncomfortable for the plaintiffs. In my opinion, it is one thing to sue for special needs requirements and quite another to sue for money because you did not get what you wanted.
I would also like to ask every one of these plaintiffs if they would like to give their eyes to a youngish woman who walks past my home every morning using a clicking cane to negotiate her way through life. I think I could guarantee that she would take their deafness in place of her sightless life in a heartbeat. |
"....the appeal is to be able to go after the lifestyle groups..."
Having read all the preceding posts on this thread, it is abundantly clear that Schwartz and the other Plaintiffs are in this for two reasons: Money, and Inflicting Harm on their victims (the defendants). Their attorneys are obviously in it strictly for the money. Anybody who thinks otherwise is simply naive. If the community wants to seek a positive outcome to this, the only way is to fight. I would be glad to pitch in for a legal slush fund to fight these scoundrels in any way possible. We should band together and confront this evil. I hope the attorneys on this board can recommend strategies to pursue justice on behalf of our community. |
