Default Lifestyle Preview Cottages

We arrived yesterday to start our Lifestyle Preview, and are very impressed with everything we've seen so far in TV. The "Disney for Adults" comment I've seen before is certainly true. Everything seems so clean, neat and well cared-for, it is the prettiest place I've seen in Florida this side of the Magic Kingdom. I wanted to comment on the cottage they assigned us to. It's on Cottage Dr. just a couple blocks from the sales office in Sumpter Landing. It is really beautiful, but our salesman made it clear that, while people love them, they are not for sale nor are they being built anywhere in TV. What's up with that? We really love it - if not for the view from the lanai (the parking lot of the supermarket), it would be perfect for us. Anyway, we couldn't be happier with the sales office or the accomodations. Love the golf cart that came with the cottage, and the ability to get on wi-fi with no hassle has been great. Next stop is the Palmer course for what looks like a day on the beach (wow, some humungous sand traps out there). This is a great place.

I have heard many people comment that they like the style of the cottages. The beautiful covered porches, type of siding, color selections, etc. Not cookier-cutter at all - I also wish they were offered as models to choose from.

Wait a few years and they will be for sale. Fully furnished. We bought a Courtyard villa that was used for Preview guests and the townhouses near Spanish Springs were used for that and are now for sale. It will be awhile though before you can buy one.

I too love the cottages, they remind me of a quaint, fishing town in Maine..

I am sure if they become available, they will go for a hefty price!

Enjoy your cottage accommodations, and more important, enjoy your lifestyle preview! TV is huge; take in as much as you can. Talk to current residents (you'll find folks pretty friendly) and learn what you can. Explore different villages and get a feel for what area you're interested in. Explore the commercial areas as well. Ply your sales agent with all your questions, and ask him/her what questions you may not have thought to ask. TV is a terrific place, but there's only so much you can do during a preview, so do as much as you possibly can! Good luck and have a ball!

About the cleanliness - we even saw the ladies outside with long-handled dust mops, cleaning off the sides of the cottages. Talk about dedication.

Enjoy!!!!!!!

There is one point that I've had to remind friends and relatives who visit. The accursed "Disneyland for Adults" description keeps coming up --- EVERYONE uses it. I have to constantly remind folks that people do live here. This is our home. While it may seem like a resort at times, even to us frogs, we won't be checking out Monday morning. Whether just visiting, assessing the place or living here fulltime, in many ways this is the same as the city or town we left up North, with similar issues and problems.

We came for two Lifestyle Previews before we bought and stayed in two different Cottages. I can't say enough about them. They are wonderful. Our realtor also told us they were not for sale, but if they were they would be close to a million. Location, location. Anyway, I know you'll love TV. It's all here and once you live here, you'll find there's every more!

Welcome! Waving! We are now in our third week in our new home in Hadley. Just loving it. I even like the dramatic thunder storms.

We also stayed in a cottage when we had our lifestyle preview. Loved it. They are soooo luxurious and well decorated. They even let us bring along our two dogs at no charge. I thought we'd buy a cottage when they came up for sale, until I found out they would be close to a million for a two bedroom cottage!

The cottage worked its magic on us. Gotta admire the concept of Lifestyle Previews. A wonderful sales tool.

The koolaid is starting to kick in. We played 18 on the Palmer Legacy this morning (just made it in before the storm hit - I was putting on 18 in the wind with the lightning about a mile away) - then had a great lunch at the club. They really know how to treat you on this lifestyle preview!

One of the things we loved about the lifestyle visit was that there was NO sales pressure. They let the Koolaid do the talking.

Is it just me or have they painted the cottages? I feel like they are not as bright as they used to be and for whatever reason I don't remember any of them being white...my family tells me I am wrong...I figured I would ask you all.....they always say I am wrong whether I am or not...hahaha
