Default Forks over knives

Hey has anyone seen this documentary? I caught it on Netflix a couple weeks ago. It's about a plant based whole food diet. No meat, no cheese.

I haven't seen it but will be on the lookout for it. My husband and I have recently decided to try a plant based diet and are looking for all the support and reinforcement we can find. So far, we're enjoying it but it does make it hard to eat out. Thanks for the heads-up about the movie.

Eating out is no problem. We went to Taco Bell, ordered a hard shell taco with no meat, no cheese. The guy says, so you just want lettuce? He put tomato and salsa on and it was not too bad. Also we ate at Takis and had pasta with marinara sauce, it was excellent. Salad bar at Golden Corral was good also.

I tried being a vegan for awhile, but found that I had to eat continually to keep the hunger pangs away. It became annoying to find ways to make complete protein combinations from only plants. Vitamin/mineral supplements were a must.

I moved to being an ovo-lacto vegetarian. It basically means you don't eat anything that has a face. Did that for almost 7 years, although it took lots of effort to find ways to keep that in balance, too.

Once I was past menopause, I realized that it was better for me to include moderate portions of meat/fish, and slowly added them back into my diet.
My Doctor agreed.

Trying the various diets really enlightened me about vegetarian nutrition. It takes some real study to do it well. Love yourself enough to take the time to do it well!

Default 4 Your Blood Type.

I tried to cut out meat and always felt weak and hungry. I think at one point I tried to take a bite out of the refrigerator.

Later in my life, I did read the 4 Your Blood Type Book. Anytime some one says they are fine not eating meat or that they just naturally eat fish I will almost always ask what their blood type is. This gentleman did a study on how our blood is affected by the food we eat. Interesting study.

I am a total vegan, thank you, I will have my salad over easy with a baker on the side. After all, didn't all meat start out as grass or grain.

As a fellow firearms enthusiast, I guess I am a little surprised that you are a vegan. My aunt is a vegan, and she is thinking of moving to the Villages. She is a little concerned about being able to find a health food store.

She is more your typical vegan. Avoids driving on highways or at night, and hates round a bouts. I am secretly hoping that she finds the Villages not to her liking as I am concerned that I will be called upon to help her out too often. She is a real user if you know what I mean.

Default Our diet also has evolved

We use to not eat anything green, let the cow eat the green, we eat the cow, but after the ole boy was diagnosed with diabetes, we are very careful, and so far so good...
