Default Anyone see the SpaceX launch early morn?

I woke up really early and decided to listen to radio news. They mentioned the upcoming launch, think it was about 5:30am. Just after takeoff I looked out east...OMG! the flare and view-even from our distance away- was spectacular. The very slight cloud cover out east made the rocket's flames glow with a super long trail up and to the north.

If you ever have a chance to see a night or early morn launch - do it. This one was a space station resupply mission.

I’ll bet it was spectacular!

We used to watch them all the time when we lived in Clearwater. Even from across the state they were great to watch.

Unfortunately I remember pulling over in traffic, as we often did to watch a launch, and saw the Challenger go up. I will never forget that sight as it split into 3 pieces. I think that actually traumatized me. Then of course it was replayed over and over.

Since then I have lost my enthusiasm for watching the launches, as amazing as they are.

Didn't see this one (way too early ) but did see Space-X Falcon Heavy launch back in early February over the back of our house. It was around 3 in the afternoon and we could see the flare and contrail for a short time. That's the one that launched the Tesla into space.
