Impressive. We cut the (satellite) cord a couple of years before we moved here. Bought an $80 antenna from Fleet Farm, installed it and could pull in something like 40 stations (more, depending on weather and time of day). Most as clear or clearer than with DirecTV.

Thanks, we get the same but I have never taken the time to put together a channel listing. I will print this out and keep it handy.

I use the Channel Master CM4228 antenna with a CM-7779HD Preamp. The antenna was out of stock for a while except from places which would greatly over charge. Anyway, it is back in stock now.

I've gotten about 128 channels over night but haven't taken the time to analyze them as most appear to be the same as I already get from Orlando. Also they disappear during the day. I'm told this is common this time of year.

Where do you have the antenna mounted? Are you using a antenna rotor?

Are you pointed at Ocala or the Orlando/Christmas transmitters ?

Pointed toward the Orlando towers.
I was able to point it with my neighbor's house on the left & some trees on the neighbor's right so it has a long open area towards Orlando.

From reviews I've seen, I could be wrong, it has a wide UHF direction because it is basically 8 uhf cat whiskers. The reflector is not really a uhf reflector but is tuned to hi-vhf and the cat watcher picks up the hi-vhf because it is stronger from the reflector. Again, I could be wrong.

Thank you, Mike,
Nice to see the old days roof antenna options are still kicking..
But I couldn't live on those channels only...

Do you have it mounted on your roof?

Not on the roof but on a mask on the GROUND and braced against the building with a wall mount. Most if not all outdoor antennas I seen in TV are installed that way.

How high up is your antenna? I'm in the north end too and mine got ABC the first day it was installed, and nothing since. It's also headed towards Orlando.

Cool

My wife and I have a home in the Northern end on the Marion County side. I am looking at tiring an Antenna with amp in the Attic. Has anyone had any luck with that?
