Default Live Oaks Park Update

Saw this on the Recreation Dept Page.
The park is near the new Hacienda villas.

Live Oaks Park Update
The site work for the Live Oaks Park has been approved and is expected to commence in the next 30 days with a timeline of 45-90 days for completion. The layout has been completed and the plans are moving forward. For the safety of workers please avoid this area during the construction process. The Live Oaks Park will have a boardwalk, observation platform overlooking the Wetlands, walking path, picnic tables and park benches for use and enjoyment. Throughout the project we will continue to provide updates as work is completed on www.districtgov.org and through the media. For more information please call the Recreation Administration Office at 352-674-1800. To view the Live Oaks Park area, please click on the link below.
Live Oaks Park.pdf (Don't think this link will work, go to disrictgov.org to view a picture of the location)

Default Park

We are excited! We will see the park from our new Hacienda villa as we got the corner villa which looks out onto the wetlands and water one way and the park and trees from the other side! How lovely!

Jane, when you purchased your Villa did they tell you about the park?

Isn't anyone gonna say something about donating park benches?

I would expect some conversations about this?

Default Benches

As my dad just died and I am presently sitting with my mom watching her pass I thought about buying one in their memory. They are pricey but since my folks will be buried in Seattle at least I would have something almost right outside my window. Is that morbid?

I saw the orange markers at the park and I was told there would be a park and a board walk. I saw it as a positive As it will be pretty and nice to look about our window. But I asked about it to the realtor. It was not volunteered by him

Jane, so sorry for your loss. I passed by your home today and think that you have a little piece of heaven. The bird life will be exciting to watch and I think the park will be an asset as well. The view of the wet lands is sensational and I agree that bronze is the way to go.

Default picnic tables

Thank you for your thoughts, I think the park will also be a lovely asset and we are going to buy a picnic table in memory of my parents. I am also seeing there is a preference for bronze bird cages so far. Glad I posed the question through another thread before I sign off! I am a bit of a neat freak, a genetic mutation from my mother, so I would go nuts to be seeing green developing on the white. But also, the same must develop on the bronze so you do not see it, so you have to still clean it regularly so how do people do that?
