Default Civilians on Patrol for Speeders on Multi Modal Pathways Celebrates 4th year

The COPS program in the Villages had another successful year, its 4th. Revenue from year one paid for our new building in Eastport and updated equipment. Year 2 allowed us to dedicate a wing in the new school to safe golf car driving. Year 3 revenue was used to send all employees on a paid cruise for 1 month each. Year 4 revenue will be used to build a detention center for repeat offenders. We are not sure what to budget our year 5 revenue towards so we will take all suggestions.

Our data over the past 4 years has shown the following..............

1. ALL YAMAHA owners speed.
2. All golf cars with seat belts speed
3. All single drivers with driving gloves on speed
4. All drivers smoking a cigar speed

Our largest revenue source has been at the squares ticketing the above drivers.

We hope drivers start to heed the speed limit of 20 mph but not that much as it effects revenue.

Happy Driving.....Thank you for not speeding..... Ben Cruisin.... COPS Founder

Knew it was fake when he wrote that an organization used profits to take employees on vacation. The CEO takes the profits and the workers get to see the vacation photos at the next staff meeting. That's how it's done.

They stopped me going 45 over the golf cart bridge in Spanish springs over 441. Just love Evel Knieveling over that one.

should have said:
1. ALL YAMAHA owners obey the law.
2. All golf carts without seat belts speed
3. All single lady drivers are slow

4. All drivers that were stopped and ticketed for going way too slow, that didn't pull over if there were many carts behind you (it was a banner year), the police Dept wants to thank you for paying for our bonuses this year.

Sure wish they were around the other day. We were coming south from Chitty Chatty bridge on MMP. One of those small red car looking golf cart (similar to an Atomic Cart) passed us by. He was keeping up with cars southbound on Morse. Had to be doing 35+. What a putz!!

Seriously, it seems like open season for speeders in both car and trucks vehicles and golf carts. Gasoline golf carts have a high center of gravity and are NOT made for taking turns at high speeds. Also, golf carts and liquor make an accident cocktail. Maybe the Villages need more Police giving out more tickets for speeding. It's pretty sad when people work all their lives toward retirement and then they get drunk and roll over in a high center of gravity golf cart. Then, they have a neck injury and spend their retirement in a wheelchair. The speeders are the April fools.

Got to be an April’s fool! If a Carley is on the side of a street, only an official police officer can cite a cart driver for speeding ( over 20 mph ) ! The Villages cart paths are personal property! If there was a Civilian Squad, they could be illegal
