I guess you would be surprised to learn of the anount of people here with only a golf cart for transportation. If they need to go someplace, they rent a car for a day.

Never rent from Turo. I have a horror story when I rented from them in Phoenix my first and last time.

I use Turo. It is a service that rents individual peoples cars for a fee. It’s just a fraction of major car rental companies. I rented a car back home for a month at $15 a day.

There are many residents here that only have a golf car to get around. Everything you list above is accessible by golf car depending on where you go, with the exception of the airport and there are multiple companies offering that service.

I have friends who have used Turo 3-4 times with zero problems...

Lou, be sure you check your insurance, I am guessing you will not have coverage in case of an accident.

Kind of like an airbnb, there's car sharing. My daughter & her husband used Turo car sharing to book their rental for a week in Colorado. I don't really know how it works or if there's time limits, etc. I'm sure there's other websites out there. Maybe something to consider.

Default Auto Train from Lorton, Virginia to Sanford 17 hours approximately $1,500

I traveled that way ONCE....it was far too many times! Cramped space...uncomfortable bunk beds....School cafeteria quality food. NOPE!

Depending on where you are located in the Villages, you might be able to manage with just a golf cart. I have known a few people who get everywhere they need on their golf cart.
