I think I'm going to spend some of my kid's inheritance on these lights.

Didn't realize that was even a thing, but those look cool! Now that you have complained and brought it to our attention I want them for my house!

There are no deed restrictions for Airbnb’s either but most of us don’t want to live next door or across the street from two or three of them. Lights changing colors with the season might be appropriate but lights 365 nights a year might get to be a bit much IMHO.

Apparently you haven't read the Deed Restrictions.

The only thing "more ghetto" I could imagine, would be a stove pipe sticking out the side of a mobile home.

Of course, that "look" fits in the "historic district".

You are a very wise person. If this is all these people have to deal with they should consider themselves very lucky.

Whether they admit it or not, most EVERY person who owns a home in The Villages, bought that home because they liked the way The Villages looks. The way it's maintained. The continuity. The community standards.

They bought, because everything was already thought out and there was very little to worry about ... simply enjoy retirement. The neighborhood would always look as it did, they day they bought their home.

A very small minority of Villages, seem intent on changing anything and everything about The Villages, if it doesn't suit their selfish needs or wants.

Anyone who believes outlining their home with LED lights is classy, attractive, or appropriate in any way, needs a dose of reality. It's looks cheap, tacky, unattractive and it makes your home look it's inhabited by refuges from a local carnival or trailer park.

To explain it in language that even the deniers may understand ... if it was desirable or attractive in the mainstream world, The Villages would be offering it as an option on their new homes.

That is your opinion. We bought here because we like the convenience and activities The Villages offered. We had no expectation of everything remaining unchanged as that is highly unrealistic or we would still be watching black and white TVs.

For those that may be wondering……
Ghetto - Wikipedia
Ghetto A ghetto is a part of a city in which members of a minority group are concentrated, especially as a result of political, social, legal, religious, environmental or economic pressure. [1] Ghettos are often known for being more impoverished than other areas of the city.

The Villages motto is "Florida's Friendliest Hometown". It really should be changed to "Everything is our business" or "All Karens Welcome".

Hey whiners and complainers, if you don't own it.........it's none of your business. Get a real hobby.
