my Patio Villa is 9 years old and the windows are getting harder to open every year. I have cleaned the tracks and siliconed the track but to no avail. Yesterday my wife dislocated her finger opening the window. Does anyone have the same problem and do you have a solution other than buying new windows?

Call out a window company first to see if they can be fixed or adjusted. It may just be all they need especially if you don't open them a lot.
