I’m finally ready to put the finishing touches on my home, and I need to have about 8 prints/posters framed and matted. Want “museum” non-glare glass. I’m willing to travel up to an hour outside “the bubble” to work with a good, reputable framer that does quality work. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance for any helpful posts.

I don't think they do custom framing of your own art, but "Art.com" is a great source for buying all kinds of art that they will frame for you before sending it to you. The cost is about half of the cost to hire a custom framer. They have thousands, if not millions, of prints and framing options to choose from.

I have no idea of where or how to get "museum quality" glass but Michaels as I recall does framing. You would need to contact them regarding the glass, and may need to get this separately. Lake glass may be able to help with the glass. So I am suggesting a 2 step process, you get the glass and the print, and Michaels provides the framing. last time I was there they had lots of frame material to choose from.
Hope this helps.

I also have used King’s Gallery and was very happy with their work. It has been several years — maybe 8 or 9 — and they were in Spanish Springs at that time. Like so many other Villagers, I wanted to hang something in our TV house that was representative of our hometown. I was given a numbered Charley Harper print and I took it there to be framed. I always use museum glass and that is what is on the Charley Harper. That kind of glass is pricey, but I don’t want to watch the artwork get ruined from fading, so I usually pay the price of that glass. (I think there is another kind of glass that is a step down from museum glass, and works pretty well, and is definitely not just plain glass, but I can’t think of what it is called.) Anyway, I would guess that King’s Gallery still does excellent work and even though it looks like they are gone from Spanish Springs, you would not have to go far to their location now. The King’s Gallery phone number is 352-259-6998. Boomer

And than you for the glowing recommendation. We recently had a picture fall of the wall, smashing the glass and ruining the frame (still can't figure out why the picture hook failed)... We'll give them a try for the re-framing...
