Default Lost Dog - Nancy Lopez "DOG IS FOUND" "HOME SAFE"

Our best friends lost one of their small Italian greyhounds on the first hole at Ashley Meadow, Nancy Lopez last night. The dog is black and white and weighs about 6 pounds. There is a black leash attached to a grey reflective collar.

She broke free from the owner at 11:30 last night from the rear of their home on the first hole of Ashley Meadow.

The owners are heartbroken. Contact: Steve or Joan at:

Thanks

Cabo,

I am thinking that no news is not good news. We are thinking of this sweet doggie and hoping for a happy ending.

graciegirl...thanks for the suggestion.....I passed it on. The owners haven't given up hope. They have followed up on all the suggestions so many kind Villagers have offered and they continue to actively search everyday.

I suggested in the other thread about Gianna, that the flyers be dropped off at all veterinarians offices and also offer a generous reward.

If someone picked up one of my Yorkies, I would assume that they may want to sell it, so I offer a reward printed on their tags.

There are people that just look for dogs to pick up for resale. I live in south Florida, and some people stopped their car, got out, and picked up a dog from inside a fenced yard. The construction crew next door saw it happen.

I would offer a reward too good to refuse. If someone hasn't returned Gianna yet, maybe money will help.

This is a good reminder to have pets microchipped. I'm praying that Gianna is found soon. A few years ago I found a small dog running and dragging her leash. After catching the dog I walked up and down the street for a long time waiting for the owner to show up. No one came and dog did not have tags. What to do?? I took her home and placed an ad in the local paper and called the humane society. Her owner called and was irate. It seems that the dog would run for a considerable distance and return to her owner. The owner told me to mind my own business when I suggested that this was a dangeroud practice. Idiots abound.......

I am in no way implying that the owner of Gianna is at fault. I have a small dog and the other day he
saw a bird in the yard and took off after it. I was running after him screaming for him to stop before he got to the road. He can be unpredictable and a lot faster than I am.

Default Gianna

Duffysmom-

You are so right- We have had a number of dogs and believe in the "chips". We had Gianna, just over a week, and she was scheduled for spaying, a chip, etc this week. Gianna, although 2 years old had neither.

We thought we were knowledgeable and very careful but a lesson learned. Whether golfclubs, animals or us -whether out walking, jogging etc.--be identfiable- have a return address on yourself, animal or other items.
