Default Magnetic Name Tags

Has anyone purchased magnetic name tags either locally or from the Internet? I've seen people wearing them in TV but when I'd ask where they got them, they'd say their neighbor purchased them. Might be something that the Mercantile Exchange might want to consider--your name and the name of your village below. Or is this already available?

Choice Awards in Belleview supplies most of the name tags for businesses, churches, clubs, etc in the area. They do great work and are quite inexpensive. Their website is here.

No idea yet. We have 75 homes in our CYV loop but I haven't canvassed yet to see how many would be interested. I'm sure the number would vary based on the price. I'm planning to stop by the Mercantile Exchange to see if they've ever considered them. the TV logo is probably restricted but think about it, some people would probably take their name tags North with them which would give TV free advertising.

Just remember that the magnetic tags are a no-no for us pacemaker people.

Skip - Can you wear them on the right side away from your pacer?

Cool idea.

Of the "gazillion" tags I've accummulated since becoming a Villager, only one is magnetic. None of the others is as convenient.

But, I know several pace-maker folks, and they agree: better not wear a magnet tag, even if "far" from the pace-maker itself!

Clip-ons seem the best alternative - just clip to your collar. Easier than pin-ons, and less likely to spill blood on one's shirt!

I have a pacemaker and I have been waring one for 2 years on the other side of my body and I have no problems. I talked to my Dr before I started it and he said it shouldn't effect anything just as long as its on the other of your body.

With something so important I personally won't take a chance. Even with a big body the magnet wouldn't be that far away and it's kinda been keeping everything going for the last 10 years. I don't think the "no risk, no reward" saying comes into play here
