Default Lots big enough for Horses

I am in NH for the summer and met a Villager today who told me he has a home in TV with Horse acreage, plus he has a home here. Are there properties in TV big enough for horses and what sort of price range.

Yes. Up in the northern section. I think it’s called Chatham Acres. The lots are in the 5 acre range. I haven’t looked in awhile but I think they still have one lot available for around $500,000.

Thanks, I really did not believe the person when he told me he was in TV, I thought he maybe was in Ocola and just using TV as a location I would know.

Most lots here aren't big enough for horseshoes, let alone horses....

You could always sell the horse door to door piece at a time

Actually not a bad price for it. I think they were originally marketed for about 500K several years ago. In Ocala, land prices have tripled and in some cases quadrupled in the past 5 years. Most land in Ocala now is about 100K per acre.

Somebody posted on a recent thread...that Ocala is the horse capital of the US (Lexington KY would argue that)...but makes sense that...that would be the likely landing spot for a home boarding set up

New-build golf course lots in Eastport have a $199-$249K premium.... $100K for an acre in Ocala is a steal...lol

As one whose family with thoroughbred farms from Lexington to Louisville, my elders always said “Ocala is a breeding place for horses.”

But Kentucky breeds the Derby runners and Winners. Family had breed 3 Derby runners, but not a 1-2-3 place winner

Earlier this year there was a Villages horse farm on the market but I do not see it now. We saw some acreage for sale outside the villages up towards Lady Lake that had cattle and some donkeys on it. If you mix The Villages with horses you will pay dearly but its possible, LOL
