loud like Harley's that the baffles were removed from the mufflers which are actually straight pipes. makes feel like bs hells angels. Only way they get away with it the nerd politicians think they are cool and won't enforce noise laws. Kinda like the illegal issues

Not only Harleys' but muscle cars also express freedom. Can't wait to bring my 5th gen Camaro down and open up those electronic cutouts!

Maybe it also draws attention that they may seek. I look and just smile knowing they are having fun.

I think it has to do with, Hey look at me I'm special, I'll turn up the volume so you know someone special is coming your way.

There is just something about a mid 60's muscle car (in my case a fastback mustang) with a nice new engine, headers, dual 2.5 inch stainless steel exhaust, and minimal restriction mufflers.
Just my humble opinion.

I once asked a local leo about ticketing loud motorcycles, and he said they don't bother unless the rider is intentionally revving the engine to make a lot of noise.

I'm more annoyed by the nearly constant, daily sound of the lawn maintenance crews. The absolute loudest mowers, string trimmers, and blowers. I have actually timed my neighbor's crew and they regularly rev gas machines FOUR hours at a time. He has lots of bushes that need trimming and a biiiig lot.

Many people enjoy the sound of

In my opinion there is nothing sweeter than the sound of an American V8 with
dual exhausts and glass pack mufflers. I'm not showing off ( could care less if people
enjoy the sound or not) I will be gone in a few seconds.
My 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 V8 with its Flowmaster Duals is music to my ears and from
the many car clubs in TV I'm not alone in my feelings.

Big difference between glasspaxks and free flow mufflers than straight pipes or mufflers with baffles removed.

Muffler baffles have long ago burnt out. Some even remove th baffles and sprark assortors in two strokes, they run better with free flowing exhaust.

I don't mind the sound it reminds me of a different era. Younger days with many good memories. I am glad that even though I am much older I haven't turned into some old grouch that is bothered by anything and everything that is not part of their lifestyle.
