Default Allergies

Can anyone let me know if you think you've had more or less allergies in Florida than other states you came from. Also, how about your pet?

Thanks,

This is allergy season in Central Florida. January - April: tree and grass pollens are 'very' abundant. Itchy eyes, runny nose etc. are symptoms and they should really be addressed with today's meds. If not dealt with they can lead to more serious symptoms.

My allergies are "different" but all in all, not any better nor worse.

Besides meds (I'm not a big fan of meds) , wear glasses (or sunglasses) to keep pollen out of eyes, spray water up your nose, take showers after being outside, etc.

Mine and I usually do not have symptoms are a little worse. And now for the good part. And you can hold the laughing. I have moved a bit in my life and what I have found that helps is to get a jar of the local honey and take a teaspoon a day. It has to be local stuff from the area you are in. The health food stores here have it. The bees feed on the local flowers and you build up a resistance. It works for me, may not for you, not a doctor, etc, etc, etc, Oh and did I mention how good a teaspoon of Braggs organic apple cider vinegar in water, with honey helps many other things that ail you.

My better half has allergies and has lived all over. Florida seems to be just a little better then other places.

I'm not laughing . . . eating a bit of local honey works wonders for allergies. Also, your tip about Apple Cider Vinegar is right on. The kind that works best is made by Bragg's and is organic with bits of the apple, usually found at health food stores. The clear kind you buy at the grocery just doesn't work as well. Apple Cider Vinegar also helps with GERD and indigestion.

Tried the Jack Daniels. Worked to a point. Switched to vodka and OJ and that not only helped the allergies but took care of the cold and ague that I was feeling in this cold weather.

Now I've found the perfect combination -- Jack Daniels and Apple Cider Vinegar -- good for what ails ya.

Thanks everyone for the info. I think the honey thing sounds great, once again thanks for the idea. A good drink now and then doesn't hurt either I would think.
