Thank you! Sounds much better than getting to Disneyland here. DL is never a day trip for us. We have to stay at least one night because of the travel time.

We’ll likely buy south of 44 because we want a brand new home, but we’ll see. 😊

Don't rule out pre-owned homes, there are some real beauties, and some bargains.

Morse will be a nightmare from 466 north. Surprised they never turned it into a four land road.

As you approach the RAB at 441 and Morse, Morse Blvd is a four lane road with two lanes in each direction. I don't think it is even feasible to expand Morse Blvd north of 466 to two lanes each way for the entire length of the roadway from 466 to 441.

People said the traffic was terrible, so we never considered buying a house that would require us to drive along that stretch of road.

For me, coming from New York, New Jersey and South Florida, the traffic anywhere in The Villages, including that stretch from 466 to 441 is NOTHING, even in high season.

Absolutely!!! Hubby and I went to a Villages open house a few months back for a brand new home that had a price tag of over 1 million. The counter tops in the home were CORIAN. Yes, CORIAN!!! Most pre owned homes these days have been updated with either granite or Quartz counter tops not to mention new cabinets in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Some day when they ever get around to working on 27/441 it will be much better. The lights do seem to go on forever.

Maybe not but.......there are pre owned homes that can be had for a lot less than a cool million and have upgraded counter tops and cabinets than what I saw in that brand new home for over a million.

Yup, agree totally. Not only "mature landscaping" but enhanced landscaping done by professionals, not what the builder puts in.

Seems the builder if offering less but the price tags are more for the new homes. I can't believe......not even ceiling fans? I didn't notice if there were ceiling fans in the open house we toured that was over a million. I was just gob smacked at the downgraded counter tops. Corian is one step above laminate counter tops if you ask me.

Somehow our dollar has become funny money just like that.

Where was this new construction house for a million dollars? The most expensive new house I have ever seen listed was in the mid $800’s and it was decked out with quartz counters, top of the line appliances and a pool.

The only place I can think of that a house would be that much would be up in Chatham Acres where the lots are 5 acres and cost $500,000. Currently the developer has only 3 houses that are even above $600,000 listed.
