Most pre owned homes these days have been updated with either granite or Quartz counter tops not to mention new cabinets in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Where is this house? Nothing listed on TV website for any new house approaching a million dollars.

The only place I can think of that a house would be that much would be up in Chatham Acres where the lots are 5 acres and cost $500,000. Currently the developer has only 3 houses that are even above $600,000 listed.

I wish I could remember where the home is located but I can't. Hubby verified that the listing price was over one million but he doesn't remember where it was located either. I do recall mentioning the quality of the countertops to the sales rep. All he could do was shrug his shoulders.

Couldn't have been. She said it was a brand new house. And it's "then" not "than".

Maybe but I’ll bet the home was a resale. Several resales listed for over a million. Two in my neighborhood alone. Just cause a resale is listed for a price doesn’t mean they sale for that.

We watch TV website routinely for new home sales and have never seen one for a million dollars.

Without even thinking about apartments.....keep in mind the slow season population of today is larger than the busy season of 5 plus years ago.

The 300 homes per month being sold and closed per month add to the population way....WAY.... More than the apartment factor.

By George, I think you are correct that it might have been a resale.

I don't believe it was MLS. It was a Villages sales rep we spoke to.

As Al Jolson said "You ain't seen nuttin yet" Wait until the tens of thousands vacation renters in The Villages get here and all the snowbirds return to the surrounding communities and The Villages. Best thing to do is just stay away from the squares during the season.

or get there really, REALLY early. get a good spot for the vehicle & spend the day. it's the most inclusive square, imo, so it's easy to just relax & let the time pass

yet some people still insist on dumb statements like, that's progress, or what did you expect, the truth remains, we were promised no building south of 44, and with few amenities there, of course all the squares and everywhere else are very crowded...we have doubled in size in terms of population, and the 3 existing squares, pools, etc, were never meant for that...please spare me the replies like : that's progress, what did you expect, when was that promised...when everyone knows it was promised...
and we're down to one theater...

Wait, I thought people were "promised" that there would be no building south of 466A...

Who made these "promises"? Anybody get anything in writing?

Why would anyone think that a successful business making good money would think it was in their best interest to stop growing?

Understand complaining about a lack of a square south of 44 at this point but upset they keep building is silly.
