So, we are just wondering if this IS the usual practice.

We actually called the Holiday Inn in the Villages next. They take the cc and hold it till arrival. Upon arrival they process it to make sure it is good but, do not actually charge until departure. This is the normal way of business that we have experienced in the past 40 + years.

Does anyone have opinions on pre-paying for the LSV and or any opinion on staying at the Holiday Inn in the Villages.

We do not necessarily need the "benefits" of the LSV.

Thanks all, have a wonderful day!
We have done the LSV and actually liked paying up front. When our visit was over , we didn't have the bill staring us in the face. Leaving was bad enough.

As already mentioned, the villa comes with a golf cart which really gives you the full feel of The Villages. You have a kitchen with pots, pans and dishes, so you can fix a nice breakfast to eat on the lanal. You can really make yourself at home!

As far as The Villages as a company goes, we have nothing but great things to say about them. They felt more like family than a company. I wouldn't worry.

Glad to hear you decided to book a LSV.

I had had two LSV and found paying up front is more hassle free as as it makes leaving easier. Although, the thought of leaving is not pleasant, once you have experienced TV.

I was very happy with having a house as oppossed to a room in a hotel as the accomodations are really nice.

I never had a problem and found it trouble free.

I'm sure you will enjoy your visit.
