Angry Macy's thanksgiving day parade

Let's try this again. Did anyone see the "Golden Girls" from The Villages High School cheer squad anywhere in the parade?

We watched the entire thing, but saw only the "anointed". Will never watch it again.

I think they were part of the large National Cheerleader group.

Watched the entire thing and they had to be part of the 650 people from all over the country. disappointed to say the least. Hope the Sun has some photos to publish this week-end.

Our granddaughter who is just finishing her interning stint on the Today show was in the Al Roker area at the parade and was on camera for just long enough for us to jump and shout. It was an unintentional shot but made this set of grandparents very happy!

Why would you not watch Macys Thanksgiving paradeecause the "Golden Girls" from the high school did not have a shot photo. You can watch these same girls at the High School for like $3.00 at many high school sporting events.

Both you and Bogie missed the point utterly and entirely. We have been to games and seen the "Golden Girls", and they are terrific, nationally recognized to boot.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was, originally, a parade to showcase the myriad groups, from all over the country, that had worked very hard to be included in this annual event. The celebrity "talking heads" were there to identify, and say something appropriate about, EACH and EVERY ONE of those groups as they passed.

However, it seems to have become pretty much an "infomercial" for various celebrities and their productions. In three hours, how many high school groups were featured? We saw but a handful.

This is once-in-a-lifetime event for kids, who worked exceedingly hard to get there, and whose families were watching for their sons and daughters to appear for a mere moment on national TV. How disappointing for them!

Do not think I missed the point. Why would you not watch the Macy parade again because you did not see then for a few seconds. If they would show everyone in the parade it would take hours. I am sure the kids had fun without their faces on TV.There will always be another parade. Hope I did not rain on your parade.
