Club meets 1st Thurs of the month at Everglades Rec Ctr from
7-8:30PM. Help make a difference in a child’s life as well as your own.

Not only is this club optimistic, it helps instill optimism in our youth. Members volunteer at schools reading to students, mentor after school homework assignments and other volunteerism. We also volunteer to help The Children of The Forest in Ocala.

On Saturday 11/19, there is a non-perishable food drive being held at Lake Miona Center parking lot from 2-3PM. The Optimist Club is donating turkeys & hams. They are asking for shelf-life stable donations to help make less fortunate people have a Thanksgiving w/all the trimmings.

Won’t you help? A good idea is to email neighbors and friends making this request. If they don’t have time on 11/19, they could give you the donations.
