Default Mailing/Receiving packages?

Hello, I am new in TV, having spent only 3 days in our house so far. We went and found our mail box while we were there. My question is; if someone sends me a package from a US Post office (not UPS or FEDEX) or if I send myself a package, from Ct. Where do I pick it up? Is there a Village post office that alerts me of a package waiting to be picked up?
Thanks.

You should find a key in your regular mailbox - and it will unlock a larger mailbox in the same area where you would find your package. If the pkg is bigger than one of those boxes I don't know where you would find it as those boxes come to us fedex or ups.

I had one instance where the box was too small for the package so USPS delivered it to my house.

They also deliver certified type mail that must be signed for to your home.

We have had the same. However in another instance, we were not at home when USPS attempted the delivery. A form was left on our door stating that we should pick it up at the Lady Lake post office.

On two occasions when I have received a package too large for the "big" box at the postal station, the carrier has placed a notice in our normal mail box for me to pick up the large package at the center between the hours of xx to xx.

If it doesn't fit in the box they will bring it to your house.
