Default Man from Gilchrist Visiting from Toronto

Last night at the LSL tree lighting I met a very nice gentleman from Toronto. It happened that when I was going to get my golf cart, I ran into him again when many people where trying to help him find his golf cart. As I had befriended him earlier, I had him come with me in my cart, and we drove around the myriad of carts in the large parking lot behind Citizens Bank until we found his. He was not sure what village he was staying in but it sounded like he was in a premier rental at Bridgeport of LSL. I had him follow me in his golf cart there, but when we got there, he did not think that is where he was staying. Then some very nice women from Bridgeport of LSL, thank you whoever you are, stopped to help and we got him to get his wallet out to see if he had the address written down. Turned out he is staying in Glichrist. As I am new to living here myself and it was dark and I did not know my way around Gilchrist, they offered to lead him from Bridgeport to the address on his ID, I am so grateful. He mentioned to me he has friends here in The Villages, that he is moving from Gilchrist to another rental home, but he does not know where the new home is. I am concerned for his safety and well being. I know his name but do not want to put it on this forum out of respect to him, but if you are his friends, could you PM me as I think he could use more support, at least in the evenings when out on his golf cart in the dark. He is a widow of 14 years from Toronto, used to be in the pool business, with 12 grandchildren and is staying here for the second time I think. It may take "a village" to ensure the time he is spending here is memorable.

I used to like you a lot Jane, and now I love you.

It takes people like you to continue making this old world go round.

Wow...you are one gem of a person. I'm going to find a way to pay forward the kindness and compassion you showed this gentleman.
