Exclamation Villages Street Signs hard to read

Forgive me if this has already been discussed. My wife and I are new to TV (Sept 2012) and we like to ride around in our golf cart to visit other villages. The problem we are encountering is the way TV street signs are installed. They are at right angles on the same level which makes reading the side road signs impossible to read when you are coming from one direction of the current street sign. This is especially hard at night. We recently had visitors from southern FL and they had a very hard time find streets because of this and to make matters worse we live in a new village so the streets are not on most GPS yet.

I agree. V've been living here for nearly 7 years and have always noticed that the street signs here seemed tougher to read than they should be.

I am with you on this. In a few areas the street signs are staggered, so you can read the name of the intersecting street as well as the one you are on. Unfortunately someone forgot how to do that in some areas and it is impossible to see the name of the street until you pass it. Go figure. Guess this is something to put on the resident survey this year.

Thank you!! Its been my biggest complaint since I moved here in 2008. At night its impossible to read the signs so if I'm in a village that I'm unfamiliar with, I have to turn my headlights onto the sign to read it,,, sometimes that means going around in circles a few times, I'm sure some people must think I'm drunk, LOL.

And, it would be nice on the main roads such as Morse and Buena Vista to have marked them with either North or South. I can't tell you when I first moved here how many times I found myself going in the wrong direction.

Default Chosen by one of the daughters.

I forget who I complained to about this and I was told that one of Gary Morse's daughters (I don't think it was Jennifer Parr) picked the design because of the old-fashioned look. I think they're only South of 466. The overall design might be ok but she should have made the manufacturer stagger the signs. Are they that way South of 466A?

Default I told them also

I take the trolley tour at least once a year with guests. I always tell the tour guide that the signs are too small. They tell me they will pass it along.

They need to make signs letting you know where Canal Street is on 466A. You are on top of it before you know it's there.
