Default Winn Dixie Pinellas

I want to compliment "Jeff" the WD store manager who so kindly helped me today.
I'd shopped at the Pinellas WD store yesterday, and realized this morning, that I'd failed to take two large packets of chicken from the checkout area when I left the store. Of course, my receipt had long since disappeared into the depths of the murky kitchen garbage can, and I was embarrassed at my lapse into the long dreaded "old fogey" stage. When I called the store and explained my sad mental lapse, "Jeff" cheerfully explained, "just come into the store and tell the Customer Service Staff. They can help you". Full of misgiving, I returned to the store this morning, and encountered Jeff. I have a distinct British accent, and he recognized me, as the poor ol gel who left $20 worth of chicken cooling on his checkout counter. I was directed to simply "get some more, and here is a bag" It was SO easy, and Jeff didn't make me feel one bit embarrassed, nor was I frisked on leaving the store. Kudos, Winn Dixie.

Good report and good to hear of a manager who knows how to treat valuable customers. WD is underrated in my opinion.

Default Will be checking out Winn Dixie

As a brand new villager, I have so far shopped for food at WallMart (kinda far) and Publix. Tried Fresh Market once. I will need to try Winn Dixie too. And see where my favorite is. Sometimes, the service will bring me back to a certain store. I like happy friendly people. Our first time at Publix in Brownwood left a very bad impression. At the deli counter. Very bad, crabby grouchy service from a young man. Why? Life is good! Don't take it out on the customer.

My wife had a great experience there also with a lost set of keys. These were found lodged in the seat area of a cart, and they called her to come get them, about an hour after they were lost.
I use WD all the time and I really like the helpful staff.

The Pinellas WD is a great store but it is an exception to the chain. WD has notoriously bad customer service in most of it's stores. I had a WD across the street in Jax but drove a mile down the road to shop at BJ's or Publix.

Thought I would shop at Publix but I have found great service at the Winn Dixie at Pinellas, prices are great and love the fuel discounts, plus the free coffee!

I shop at Winn Dixie most of the time--I love their Egg bread much better than Publix--Jeff is the greatest and we should all give Winn Dixie a try

We used to shop in the WD in Wildwood. The customer service was excellent. When it closed, we were happy to see a lot of the personnel moved over to WD Pinellas. So I am not surprised the customer service there is excellent as well.

I think it all depends on managers of locations. The Publix in Key West was filthy and lots of loafers out front. The WD there was so-so. Publix in Colony is just okay. Etc.
