Default Home Show

Did any of you go to the home show and chili cookoff on Saturday? We are not into chili but I like seeing all the vendors but was a little disappointed with it. Compared to the last one I went to there were 3 times the space used by the chili groups and probably half the amount of vendors than in the past. I did get to talk to a number of them but missed a good number of those not there. Maybe the next one will be better but for now we will just wait before doing anything.

I was there. It was nice to have the chili cookoff back and the craft beer tasting. The crowd was smaller than last year, probably due to the weather.

We went and sampled everyone's chili, making a small donation to each charity. Enjoyed it very much. As for the vendors, more than enough for us.

Vendors have to book the booth many months in advance so I don’t know why there was less ( I doubt the weather was the reason because a vendor doesn’t know what the weather will be months in advance)? The weather was very cold in comparison to previous years but that would only affect the visitors not the vendors? It did seem very packed at times but I do remembers in previous years it was way more packed. If attendance declines so will the vendors. And to rent a small both is around $500 so if a vendor can’t justify spending that they would stop going I guess. We go every year and think it’s worth the price.

Last year's event had only one chili choice (the school) and vendors. Used two of them from their leads and was very happy. Glad to hear about more chili options this year.

The chili booths were busy, good you enjoyed it. I am just not a chili person.
