Default Memorial for John Brucker

I was very moved by the Daily Sun coverage today of the memorial service at The Church On The Square for John Brucker. For those non-Villagers,
he was a EMT/ firefighter, injured and than passed away from his injuries.

It brought back the time I was working in the ER on the Trama Team. A group
of firefighters brought in a fallen "brother" who was also seriously injuried. It was heart wrench to see these grown men sob uncontrollably and plead for him to take a breath or show some sign of life. It is a memory I will carry with me always.

So, when a boot or a helment comes your way for a donation, please give.
These men and women put their lives on the line for us also.

RIP John Brucker

My nextdoor Neighbor worked with him. It is a big shame that he is gone and how it all happened. A great life taken for nothing..

I am very proud to say that I am John "Johnny" Brucker's cousin. (My aunt was his stepmom - she married his dad before I was even born though.) Johnny was an awesome man. He was a wonderful dad, had a great fiancee, loved his job as a fireman, and was one of most genuinely wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. You just couldn't help but to like him. He is greatly missed.
