“Oh, I'm being eaten
By a boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
I'm being eaten by a boa constrictor,
And I don't like it--one bit.
Well, what do you know?
It's nibblin' my toe.
Oh, gee,
It's up to my knee.
Oh my,
It's up to my thigh.
Oh, fiddle,
It's up to my middle.
Oh, heck,
It's up to my neck.
Oh, dread,
It's upmmmmmmmmmmffffffffff . . .”

Default Disagree with several posters

Disagree on several posts... if you fear in anyway for your life... take a life to save yours... you are there you are on the scene... that snake is an extension of its owner.. and that owner is responsible for his and the snakes action... Each of us fear for our life in different ways... This is no rehearsal folks... we pass through this place just one time... I can say without hesitation... its a good thing he did not come at me... I will let it go with that statement!

There were two snakes at Sumter Landing last night. One wrapped around the shoulders and neck of a man and the other around a woman. The place was packed because it was market night. It felt like a side show at the circus to see the two standing there with these huge snakes draped around their shoulders and necks. I hate snakes and it was dark and I was maneuvering around the vendors and the crowd and poof! A nightmarish yellow snake as big around as my waist is nearly in my face. What has happened to commonsense?

HA, all these snake sightings sure make a maltipoo laying under the table look a lot less threatening.

I don't think special consideration should be given to snakes, they should be leashed and no more than two per home.

It took me a couple takes, but I finally got it... Kill or be killed. Lovely.

wow, how this thread has gone from a snake sighting by the OP to , "...if it came at me..."?????!!!!!

I think poetic lisence and vivid imagination take over reality very quickly. And all well versed in the making of a banquet out of a ham sandwich.....eh?

Ever notice how some threads just go on and on and when we think it is done pop goes another entry and counterpoints/counterpuches/etc....amazing...interesting most of the time......

I think that the snake carriers have been trained in the

"It is better to be looked over than overlooked" philosophy.

Pythons do not lunge they are slow moving snakes that kill by constricting their prey. They are far more safe than many dogs.

I've never been afraid of snakes---never particularly like them nor would I consider them for a pet. It's probably has a lot to do with how we were were raised. When I went fishing with my Dad, as a young boy, we saw a lot of snakes and he always said "they are more afraid of you than you are of them---just leave them alone.". So, never was afraid of a snake.

I was In a golf outing shortly after I retired to Florida and one of the guys reaching into the bushes for a golf ball got bit (by what they said) was a Pigmy Rattler. He spent the night in the hospital---pretty sick--- but okay. You "ball hawks" pay attention!

That being said---anyone with common sense would not bring a snake to a public square like we have here in TV. I have observed that many many people are extremely afraid of snakes. Maybe it's Biblical or some other reason---doesn't really matter---snakes of any kind should be prohibited in TV squares. Enough said.

From what the other poster said about the snakes now being at lsl, it sounds like they are maybe street buskers, trying to turn the squares into something like Mallory Square's sunset celebration in Key West. All sorts of weird acts and things there.

I don't think it'll fly.

Default Banned pets in New York City.

Talking about Adam and Eve and apples--

I was wondering how a huge city like New York City treated various exotic animals.
