You will have no access to any events/parties run by Villagers in the Rec Centers. You can't join any of the clubs. You can't use the executive golf courses except as a guest. You can't use any of the pools, pickleball courts, bocce courts, etc in TV except as a guest. You won't get discounted pricing on Championship golf.

It's not the same at all as being in "The Villages". The only thing you really get is golf cart access to The Villages.

Construction slabs….Slabs are poured, transported and tilted into position for homes. They are strong, but less than ideal for repairs on electrical circuits and any other integrated components. They are also less than ideal if seismic activity occurs in an area. They are a cheaper way to build homes than using blocks though and less likely to have water leaks.

You're talking about "tilt wall" construction.

It has no bearing on whether a concrete slab is used.

Concrete slabs are use in stick built, block built and tilt wall construction. They all use the same basic foundation of concrete being poured on the ground.

Technically, tilt wall construction are concrete slabs tilted up vertically.

I don't think living in Middleton provides any access to the executive courses. If it does, the courses will really be crowded next winter!
You can only play an exec with a resident ID or a guest pass and they are only good for 30 days. I guess they can play Championships but at a non-resident price which, in season, I suspect would be prohibitive. I also don't believe that Villages residents can use the Middleton amenities.

Sorry to be “that guy” but the process that TV’s uses is not tilt wall.

Tilt wall is built on-site tilted/lift up into place.

TV’s use a precast wall process that’s fabricated by DZ precast off-site in a factory using molds and brought to the build site and lifted into place by a crane.

You can still golf at the championship courses and visit all the town centers. You have pools and parks.

So what is the negative?

I need a fence and Middleton allows them, looking for any advice.
You're looking for a range of opinions, and you will certainly get them on this site, but... don't you think those kinds of questions are best addressed to your villages sales rep rather than get misleading advice from others who may not be up on the latest ? As for could you play the championship courses if you purchase a home there; I'd not know why you couldn't since they are open to the public as are the "country club" restaurants. You might want to check on the "bonds", in some cases that is a reason to consider a previously owned home. The town squares are like any town square in any town, they are public and any entertainment that happens there is public and free.

Championships are definitely open to the public, rates for non resident is really outrageous

Some posters are in such a hurry to criticize the developer…..they don’t stop to think how stupid some comments are.

From our experience buying 2 years ago, and what we've heard from a few others, I no longer assume that most of the Villages sales reps have much knowledge on most of these types of things. We were given incorrect information on several things and it was more likely a lack of knowledge from the sales agent than deception. We got more accurate information talking to people at the squares that have lived here for awhile than from the sales agent.

Tilt wall is a generic construction term for concrete walls being “tilted” into place by a crane. My point is, it is still a “concrete slab” regardless if it was precast at a factory or poured on-site.

I’m not sure where the critical portion of the developer is on this OPs thread, but have at it if it makes you feel better to be so negative.
