Question Driving obstructions

On some of the roundabouts I find it difficult to see the traffic already in the circle, the shrubbery blocks my view. Wouldn't it make sense to have a height maximum when trimming is done?

I have noticed this also, especially if you have a car that sits lower to the ground.

i feel the same, but whats worse is the walmart on 466, trying to get into the road sandwiched between mc donalds and the others, that takes you to the light , the growth is so tall you have to pull out into the lane to see around it and check for oncoming traffic....

hire a landscaper already...with a ruler...

Good observation. On some circles you have to pull nearly into the circle to see if it is clear or not.

I have the same problem when I'm entering into the historic side at the Shay entrance. The shrubbery in the median is so high I can't see a vehicle coming when I'm in the cart. I know I ticked somebody off the other day. I stopped when I finally saw him coming. Instead of going on, he just stared at me. I started to go, and of course he decided to at the same time. I stopped again and waved for him to please go on. He had the right of way.

Would have been easier to dial 7 numbers than post here. Call Dist. Maint. - nobody on this site is going to go out and trim the shrubbery.

All of the above posts seem to be valid complaints that should be reported to the proper authorities for action.

And why couldn't you call? Being a renter does not stop you from reporting a safety issue.

This has been brought up before and nothing was done. If your driving SUV or truck vision no problem. But, for mid size and compact cars it's problem all over the villages at roundabouts.

I see no need to plant annuals leading into roundabout when perennials IMO would be cheaper in The long run, safer due to the workers constantly gardening and replanting, and less maintenance along with scrubs that don't grow so high they need constant maintenance leading up to roundabouts.

I know some will say it's so beautiful, but Arn't perennials pretty also? IMO common sense says it's not worth risk or cost around roundabouts.

We have called about the exit on our street bring blocked for years. They send out a guy in a pickup truck who can see over the shrubs and does not see a problem. In the meanwhile us in cars and carts have to pull out into the golf cart lane to see if there is anyone coming - which pi**es off the cart drivers coming down Belle Meade Circle as they have to pull out to miss us.

So you can call or write all you want and the world will go on as before.

Bogie has helpfully posted the number to call.
Complaining on TOTV won't solve the problem.
Please call the District office.
If everyone calls that feels this is a safety issue, the problem areas will be addressed.
