Default Oxford oaks family village open house

So, went to the open house today. They had 2 villages sales people at ONE house. That was the ONLY open house! They did not offer to show the other homes. The other homes were all locked. When completed, this will be a huge developement. I don't understand why they are not showing more models, or at least a few of the available homes. There are many that are built and ready for occupancy. I was hoping to see them. They aren't advertising on The Villages web site yet either.

Here is the website for Oxford Oaks. It is separate from TV.

I am aware that it is separate from The Villages. However, all of the other "family community's" are listed with the available homes on the Villages web site. This one is not....at least not yet.

Thanks. You are probably right. I'll give it another try tomorow.

Did you ask the 2 sales people?

Yes. After going to the house next door that had a flag out and was also for sale, the door was locked. Went back to model that sales guys were at. Asked if there weren't more homes to see. They said no. They did have 2 multi seated golf carts available to (I assume) take folks to see other homes. I think the sales guys didn't want to go out in the heat. Stupid, if thats the case. There were at least 8 other couples there wanting to see other homes. I saw at least 4 other couples (some with kids) try to open the model next door....but of course couldn't get in either. I guess TV is in no rush to sell the homes in this new neighborhood.

I just bought one (sight unseen) for my family to live in, so I know at least one of the models are sold. I needed to get something for them quickly and did not have time to get down to Florida to look at them. The layout almost looks like my home in The Villages but a lot more house for the money. Since they won't use the amenities anyway, this home should work for them. (I hope)!!

They will love it I'm sure!!! It's a beautiful neighborhood. I saw at least 6 or more homes that are lived in now.

Thanks...that makes me feel better.....I will be down in July to close and check it out. I figured since it is owned by The Villages it had to be nice. The amenities fee is low as well, only $49.00 per month.

We went yesterday and one model with two nice folks manning it was open. It is a lovely neighborhood and the model, a premier, was a wowser.. Large Large screened in lanai, three bedrooms and a den and three and a half baths. I think it was 520K. We saw a home already lived in with a fenced in yard. That will make some folks happy. They can fence in their yard which we can't do here.

I hope a lot of happy families find that nice neighborhood. No community swimming pool, but if they had one, I expect it would have warm water today.

I think they have Designers and Premier models only. A nice playground for kids too. And children playing signs

I hinted strongly to our visiting daughter from Ohio that she and her husband would love it there and she reminded me that she would move to The Villages if she had the choice. I keep forgetting she is in her fifties. I thought we had much younger kids.
