Default Stong Storms in Central FL

Currently I am in New England but I was watching the Today Show this morning and they reported strong storms for central FL with a possibility of a tornado. Could someone let me know what is going on down there with the weather and where I can get Village weather updates?

Thanks

It certainly is a beautiful morning in The Villages.

Just click on the following NOAA - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration then type The Villages, FL in the blank on the upper left hand corner and that should give you all the information you need. You can bookmark the resulting page for future use.

I've done it for you, just CLICK HERE.

The tornado watch was for the east coast of Florida, way below Orlando. For the past couple of days we have had wet, misty, foggy and very warm weather with high humidity. We were out last night at about 10pm in Leesburg, it rained heavily and we saw about four flashes of lightening. It cleared out the humidity and turned much cooler. This morning it is overcast and humid.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like the Villages will be ok. Thanks again. It is tough when you are so far away and you hear weather reports that could cause harm to people and property. Take care and my best for your holidays.

nothing more than an afternoon thunderstorm....the only thing unusual was it was the first rain of any significance in many many weeks.

Keep in mind when the national news, and even many locals, report only based on the telemetry graphics which very often does not equate to reality.
Didn't you ever wonder when they show storm information of county by county how uniformly yhe weather is distribute right along county line maps????

Go to accuweather.com and type in 32162 for TV weather info as well as else where in FL

Thanks for the Weather for Local and International Locations - AccuWeather.com site. Excellent information for TV and elsewhere. Better than weather.com for sure.
