Default Motorcyclist collapsed between CVS and Publix.

Saw this on the way back from the dog park. There was a motorcycle lying on its side with a man lying in the street with his head on some kind of backpack.

Must have been 12 Good Samaritans trying to help him out who were coming from cars at various intersections near CR 101 and 466.

Finished playing golf at Churchill Greens shortly after noon today and started hearing quite a few sirens that sounded close by. Soon after a medical helicopter flew by, circled and appeared to be landing somewhere along 466. Must have been for the accident.

Today starts bike week in Leesburg, a lot of bikes on the road, must be at least 50 staying at The Waterfront Inn.
An accident like this where a car pulls in front of a bike can easily ruin two families. All because someone did not see the bike.
Look twice and save a life.

I saw in the newspaper this morning they are having motocross races tonight at the racetrack off CR 466A and camping is permitted at $13 a night. I drove by there about noon and about a 1/2 mile east of of Race Track Rd on the southside of the street there were a couple of hundred campers and RV's setup in a big field.

Earlier when I was on Hwy 27/441 in the Fruitland Park area there were dozens of motorcycle groups going up and down the highway.

See my post on "Worst Driver Ever"....I saw the 2 accidents, one on Buena Vista across from the softball fields by the polo field. MedVac and all sorts of medical personell and cars too. Then the accident behind CVS by Southern Trace...bad intersection there in my opinion!!!! All this between noon and 12:30!!

Small story about the Wedgewood and CR101 accident in the Local Section of The Villages Daily Sun this Saturday. It is on C4.

It says that the motorcyclist was taken to an Orlando hospital by a medical helicopter and his female passenger went to the Villages Hospital via ambulance.

The accident occurred at @ 11:45 a.m on Friday.

Default accident at CRV

that is a very bad intersection, you must watch 5 ways to get out there, they need something to stop the traffic on 101 . it is close to the light on466, so do not know what they can come up with. I avoid that intersection .

That store will sell Harley licensed merchandise, no motorcycles. It might create some bike traffic, but it shouldn't be a problem.
