Default Motorhome storage

We are still mentally recouperating from our week long trip to the fantastic Villages when we purchased "our" new home in Duval.
A question for you fellow Frogs: Do any of you own motorhomes? Where do you store them? We are considering a 10-14 day drive from our home here in Alaska to Florida and weighing if we should go by car or take our truck with camper... Much of this decision thou rests on where to park the truck with the camper while wintering in the Villages. We are aware of the regulations prohibiting driveway parking. So where do you frogs store your motorhome if yoiu have one????
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Jan, there are at least 2 storage areas on route 301 between 472 and 466 only a few miles from Duval. Others are on 466. You will probably pay anywhere from $40-$50/month. Not a problem, come on down!

TV has a storage facility near Walmart, just off 301, for boats, RV's etc., for residents.

The Villages has an RV storage area off of El Camino Real between the Santo Domingo and the Santiago entrances. There is an extra cost to use that facility and a waiting list to get in but you can look into that also.

There are several privately owned storage facilities around The Villages. Alliance RV on Rt. 44 near Brownwood, Recreation Plantation on 466 near Rolling Acres, Fort Knox off 27/441 near Spanish Springs, Villages Storage near Wal-Mart on 466 and one just south of 466 on rt. 301 are just a few. Someone mentioned the one near Wal-Mart on 466 as TV Storage and I just wanted to let you know that it is privately owned and not a part of The Villages proper.

The Villages does own and operate two of their own lots. One is located near the woodworking shop on Rolling Acres and very close to Recreation Plantation. The other, as mentioned by another poster, is located on El Camino Real. Both of these lots are very nice. They are paved, have security cameras and are patrolled by Community Watch. There is a waiting list to get a spot. You can call or write the Customer Service Center at: 3201 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162, Phone: 352-753-4508, Fax: 352-751-3936 and put yourself on the waiting list. You can specify which lot you are interested in. Once you obtained a space you will probably want to rent it year around so that you don't have to go on the waiting list each year. It runs me $43 a month plus $3.00 tax for my 43 foot motor home. There is a chance a smaller space may even be less. The fee is just added on to your Amenities bill.

austin's store it, on 441, it is the only storage for rv's that are covered, need to call ahead and reserve if they have availability, we had our motorhome there for a year, nice and clean space and the cover is great because of this hot florida sun can do some damage after a while, there number is 352-259 8128, they are in lady lake.
