Default TOTV is the bomb!

Earlier this week I posted a request for anyone who might have a home in TV to rent for next Feb and March. I had 4 responses and three had places available (one might be available if they don't sell their home up north). We corresponded with the three, and settled on a great designer through a TOTV member. This after a frustrating week of combing through for rent websites and the Daily Sun, scurrying around the sites for the availability, finding the vast majority rented for that period and contacting dozens which showed availability only to be advised that they were already rented. TOTV ultimately saved me hours of frustration, and provided me with the means to make contact with the absolutely right person with the absolutely right property. I have benefited in so many ways with so much great information, insight, friendship and fun on this site that I must thank and praise Tony, Jan, and the new Administrator for providing this great forum.

We had the same positive experience Ed.

When we asked if anyone had a house to rent while we waited for our new one to be built....we too were offered many choices and some were embarassingly low and terribly kind.

I too want to thank again the kind souls who offered their homes to us and thank the owner of the Forum for enabling this site.

I would not have fallen in love with this place if it hadn't been for TOTV.

It would just have been a lovely place with lots to do. Knowing nice people is necessary for me to be happy...And I certainly have met a lot of them on this site.

That a good piece of positive news, Ed. Glad you were able to find a place so quickly!

I'm so happy for you eweissenbach. Gracie's story, as well as ssmith's really warm my heart and remind me of why I fell in love with this forum in the first place. It was the first forum I'd ever posted on in my life. I have gained so much from posting here and I have recommended it to more people than I can count. I've actually met people from TOTV who live in TV in real life. It is a wonderous thing when you consider all the different personalities and backgrounds and beliefs and tastes and locations.

We all come together and really discuss things. Tempers may flare at times and we all usually pull our attitudes back in and realize what has happened and kiss and make-up. But we offer more love and concern than disagreement and hate. Imagine a large room with all of us in it in real life having these same discussions. I bet we wouldn't come back everyday like we do here. TOTV is the bomb, eweissenbach.
