Unhappy Where are the parents who act like grownups???

Unbelievable.

"MADEIRA BEACH — Invitations to the birthday pool party for 8-year-old Marshall Jones announced two special guests.

Friends and parents jumped into the water to photograph and swim with the pair, Cupcake and Burger, two gators from the Alligator Attraction in John's Pass.

"Not a single kid freaked out," said Chris Jones, Marshall's dad. "Not one."

But investigators at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission think "gator parties" are unsafe for kids and parents....."

I feel for the gators. Do the pools have chlorine? If they did it without duct tape on the gators mouths I might be okay with it.

Once upon a time, we thought it ok to have a dog that was kept outside 24 hours a day without companionship. Once upon a time we saw dancing bears that had their claws and teeth removed. Once upon a time we kept zoo animals locked in small cages and watched them pace. Once upon a time we ripped intelligent and self aware animals like Gorillas, Chimps, Orangutans, Killer Whales, Dolphins, and Elephants from their family groups for our profit and amusement. This is just another example of the exploitation of an animal for someone's profit. One day I hope we will move beyond it.
